Local vet works with cat rescuers

A Town of Camp Verde veterinary clinic has been working with a cat rescue out of Flagstaff to make sure that some cats get medical treatment and, hopefully, new homes.Michelle Alagna, Certified Veterinary Technician at Montezuma Veterinary Services, lets Lady Grey out for a photo after much complaining of being locked up. The cat is part of a program the clinic is working with to find homes for cats in need.

The Ark Cat Sanctuary mainly finds cats in the Flagstaff area and works to find them a place to live.

While a lot of attention is given to the idea of adopting dogs at shelters, there is somewhat less attention given to cats given the fact that there are so many strays.

The fact is that there are often cats up for adoption.
