When the Sedona International Film Festival kicks off this month, one of the films presented will give a former resident the opportunity to return to where she spent her formative years.Sam [Michael O’Keefe], right, a formerly-acclaimed graphic novelist tries to overcome a midlife crisis by making a connection with his neighbor, Jeff [Blake Bashoff], in “Finding Neighbors.” The film, produced by Verde Valley School graduate Jennifer Young, will screen at the 2014 Sedona International Film Festival on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Jennifer Young attended Verde Valley School in the 1970s, and now she is bringing “Finding Neighbors” — a feature she produced and her husband, Ron Judkins, wrote and directed — to the festival.

“It was a really, really, really long time ago,” she said. “It was about 1978 that I was there. Sedona, seriously, was a sleepy little town. It was tiny. I actually called Verde Valley School to confirm the years I went there, and I went, ‘Wow, that was a really long time ago!’”
