A major accident between Rocking Chair Ranch Road and the Verde River bridge on State Route 89A halted southbound traffic entering Cottonwood.
Drivers were diverted to the Mingus Avenue Extention, Cornville Road and State Route 260 to circumnavigate the crash area. The accident occured at 3:41p.m., and the road reopened to traffic at 7:02p.m.
