LeBeaus happy with move to Camp Verde from N.Y.

Published:

Bill LeBeau is relatively new to the community.

“We’ve been here about a year and 10 days,” LeBeau said on a Thursday morning last week.

LeBeau and his wife Erin moved to Camp Verde after vacationing in the area.

The couple previously called western New York home.

A retired police officer and Army veteran, LeBeau said he had had just about enough of the cold winters.

“It was a leap of faith,” LeBeau said, adding that the town he used to live in was “about two hours from anywhere.”

LeBeau said that he and his wife liked to travel and vacation in different places.

One February, they found themselves in Sedona.

It was around 70 degrees there when back home that part of the Empire State was going through a particularly harsh winter.

“We looked and each and asked, ‘Are you thinking what I’m thinking?’” LeBeau said. “I think I could live here.”
