The city of Cottonwood has hired Michelle Conway Kostecki as its new economic development specialist. A native Arizonan and resident of Clarkdale, Kostecki brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in economic development, organizational strategy and community engagement to the position.
Kostecki joins the city after a career with the Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, where she held key executive positions including marketing director, president and CEO. She also brings over 14 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry, giving her a strong foundation in strategic communication and stakeholder collaboration.
Kostecki will focus on advancing Cottonwood’s economic growth by attracting and retaining businesses, supporting workforce development and fostering strong community partnerships.
Working under the direction of Tricia Lewis, the tourism and economic development director, she will assist local organizations, institutions and entrepreneurs in developing and implementing strategies that promote Cottonwood as a thriving place to live, work and invest.
“Michelle’s experience, regional knowledge and proven leadership make her an excellent addition to our team,” Lewis said. “Her passion for community building and economic vitality aligns perfectly with our mission to support a strong economy and sustainable future for Cottonwood.”
