Women roust some fun and games up for next town fair

Published:

Stacy Parson and Moe Davis aren’t from the Verde Valley, but they came to Camp Verde last week to play some games.

Also, they were planning to make a little money along the way.

Parson and Davis came to town to help set up the carnival for this past weekend’s Fort Verde Days Celebration.

The carnival is a big part of the annual festival, Camp Verde’s longest continuously running event.

Once the setup was finished, the two would join other employees to run the various games set up among the rides.

The setup process takes about a day, Parson said, who showed up on Thursday to start getting things ready.

While the odds may be in the house’s favor for many of the familiar games along the midway, one could argue that it’s all just part of the experience.

“Everyone has got their own little section,” Parson said.

The two work for Midway West, a carnival company based out of Sun City.
