Gertrude Francis Smith, nee Sanchez, 61, of Middle Verde, died June 18.
Born in Cottonwood, she was one of three siblings. She loved her job as the Yavapai Culture Manager with the Yavapai-Apache Nation.
She is survived by her children, Lonnie Jr., Tova, Momo and Lena; grandchildren, Rain, Lenny and Sparrow; great-grandchildren, Henry and Jaxx; brothers, Fred and Tony; and sister, Bunka.
Burial will take place at Middle Verde Cemetery.
