Jack E. Blum, 74, died April 1 surrounded by his family and support dog Dolly.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, worked for McDonnell Douglas and moved to Camp Verde in 1979. He was a volunteer fireman before going into administration with Camp Verde Fire District, where he served over 30 years. He was also a president of Camp Verde Chamber of Commerce.
His survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Susie; children, Troy [Yvette] Dix, Jennifer [Matt] Nelson, Kevin [Denise] Dix and Jeff [Sumer] Blum; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
