Marvin E. Harper Sr., 79, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 5.
Harper was born Aug. 28, 1933, in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Weers.

He is survived by his wife Joanne; sons Marvin Harper Jr. and Scott [Leann] Shepherd; daughters Cherri [Steve] Weers, Tina LeBleu, Billie Jo Randles and Beverly Riordan; brother James [Gail] Harper; sisters Sue [Kevin] Sheets and Barbara Jean Bolton; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial took place Saturday, Feb. 9, in Cottonwood.
