James Penfield, 78, of Cottonwood, died Aug. 8.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jean Wild and Virginia Finkbiner.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn; children Tawny (Jeffrey) Dobrowolski, Matthew (Christine DeMaria) Penfield and Brett Penfield; grandchildren Arielle, Lindsey and Brandon Dobrowolski and Jackson, Jude, Stella and Charlotte Penfield; and sisters Janet (Jimmy) Kissinger and Beth (Gene) Jones.

A memorial will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, Calif.
