VVGC’s Cartia wins leadership award

Published:

Robert Cartia, CEO of the Verde Valley Guidance Clinic, received the 2012 Leadership in Services Award, given during the eighth annual Arizona Behavioral Health Awards Gala on Thursday, July 19.

Cartia was honored during the event for his years of service with the Cottonwood-based clinic.

The July 19 awards ceremony was held at a Sedona resort as part of the 13th annual Summer Institute, titled “Mission Wellness: Business and Service Alignment for Health Outcomes.” Cartia said he received word of the award several weeks ago.

“Actually being there and receiving it was terrific and terrific for our organization. Any time a leader receives an award, it’s really about all the people who are making things happen in the organization,” Cartia said. “It’s a tribute to the organization as well as to myself, and I was really overwhelmed.”
