Four vie for vacant Clarkdale council seat

Published:

The Clarkdale Town Council held interviews of applicants to fill an open council seat Wednesday, May 30.

Longtime Councilwoman Pat Williams resigned from the seat in a letter April 9 due to her health. She died May 8 in Seattle.

Interviews took place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the community room of the town administration building at 39 North Ninth St., and they were open to the public.

“The interviews are a chance for the council to go deeper into the questions on the applications, and [for the applicants] to explain how they view Clarkdale and what they’ll bring to the community as a member of the council,” Clarkdale Town Manager Gayle Maybery said.
