The Verde Valley Farmers’ Market recently announced its Kids Day will take place on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 8 to 11 a.m.
The event hopes to inspire the community’s youth to buy local and eat fresh. Future Farmers of America and 4-H members of Yavapai County will be present.
The Verde Valley BIZ KIDS will be selling their services, food and crafts. Agriculture and STEM students will sell produce grown at the Cornville School.
Have a meet and greet with fun farm animals. Yavapai County Community Health Services will be back with its ever-popular Ride and Blend Smoothie Bike. Go on a scavenger hunt through the market to learn more about local agriculture. The event is pet friendly and handicap accessible.
