The League of Women Voters of Northern Arizona will host a series of candidates’ forums this June for voters in Verde Valley communities ahead of local city and town elections. The public is invited to attend these free events to hear directly from candidates running for local office and learn more about issues affecting their communities.
The following forums are scheduled:
Sedona Mayor and City Council Candidates Forum:
- Thursday, June 11, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Sedona Performing Arts Center, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road
- Co-sponsored by the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and the Sedona Lodging Council.
Cottonwood City Council Candidates Forum:
- Monday, June 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- Cottonwood Recreation Center, 150 S. 6th St., Cottonwood
- Co-sponsored by the Greater Verde Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Camp Verde Mayor and Town Council Candidates Forum:
- Thursday, June 18, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Phillip England Center for the Performing Arts, 210 Camp Lincoln Road, Camp Verde
Jerome Town Council Candidates Forum:
- Thursday, June 25, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Spook Hall, 260 Hull Ave., Jerome
The Clarkdale Town Council election is uncontested.
