The Camp Verde Community Library announced the reopening of the CVCL Seed Bank for 2026. After a brief winter break in December, the Seed Bank resumed operations on Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Camp Verde Community Library. The next time it’s open will be Saturday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The CVCL Seed Bank is a free program designed to help preserve and share seed varieties of vegetables, herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers that thrive in the Verde Valley’s unique climate. This community-driven initiative is open to all ages and encourages sustainable gardening practices.

How it works:

The Seed Bank is open on the first and third Saturday of each month [excluding December].

Each household may select up to five free seed packets per visit.

We also welcome seed donations. Local seed savers and gardeners are invited to contribute heirloom varieties and regionally adapted seeds to help grow a stronger gardening community.
