The Parks and Recreation Division of Camp Verde announced the Fourth Annual Touch A Truck event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Camp Verde Sports Complex at 990 Champion Trail.

In 2024, this event drew in over 3,000 attendees and featured 23 different companies and 39 vehicles, which included live demonstrations. Five community organizations participated, including Camp Verde Kiwanis Club who provided a free hot dog lunch to over 900 people. Yavapai Broadcasting promoted the event via live remote.

The Sports Complex parking lot will transform into a giant, interactive playground filled with all kinds of big trucks, emergency vehicles and tractors. Kids will have the rare chance to get up close with public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation and even “fun & flashy” vehicles.

What to Expect:

Hands-On Exploration: Kids can touch, explore and learn about a variety of vehicles with guidance from the operators who use them daily.

▪ Live Demonstrations: A special demo area will show these impressive machines in action — lifting, moving, turning and doing what they do best.

▪ Kids Activity Play Area: A dedicated space for children to play, including a sandbox with toy construction vehicles and other fun activities.

▪ Community Engage-ment: Enjoy a free hot dog lunch provided by Camp Verde Kiwanis Club and get valuable information from community organizations and connect with local services.

There is no fee to participate. If your company is considering participating, here are some roles you could consider:

▪ Static Display: Showcase your company’s vehicles for kids to explore up close. It’s a great way to engage with the community and allow children to see and touch the machinery.

▪ Demonstrator: If you have equipment or vehicles with interesting features, you could participate in the demonstration area, showing off the vehicles in action. This would make a lasting impression on families as they get to see the machinery perform.

▪ Sponsor: By sponsoring the event, your company could help support this free, family-friendly activity while gaining visibility. Sponsorships often come with perks like having your logo featured in promotional materials or on-site signage.

We want you to be part of this year’s event. Whether you’d like to showcase a vehicle, offer a demonstration or support as a sponsor, we welcome your participation.
