The Yavapai County Community Organizations Active in Disaster, in partÂnership with the Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management and Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, will host the Yavapai County Preparedness Expo on Friday, Sept. 19 at the casino.
This free, county-wide event will bring together emergency responders, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and local businesses to showcase resources and tools available before, during and after disasters.
âPreparedness is not just about agencies â itâs about neighbors, families and busiÂnesses knowing what to do when emerÂgencies happen,â Yavapai County COAD board member Heather Vinson said. âThis Expo provides a unique, hands-on opportuÂnity for our community to connect directly with experts and walk away with actionable steps for safety.â
Event highlights include:
⪠Interactive exhibits and vendor booths featuring first responders, safety organizaÂtions, nonprofits and local businesses.
⪠Preparedness classes and demonstraÂtions on wildfire safety, emergency commuÂnications, first aid and family readiness.
⪠Hands-on activities for families including kidsâ preparedness education, emergency kit displays and equipment demos.
⪠Food trucks and local vendors bringing community flavor and outreach.
All members of the community are invited to attend this engaging and inforÂmative event, which will be held Friday, Sept. 19 at the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp Verde from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information and vendor registration is available at yavapaiready.gov.
The Yavapai County Community Organizations Active in Disaster is a collaborative network of nonprofits, faith-based groups, government agencies and businesses dedicated to strengthening community resilience.
