The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on drug arrests in its partnership with the multi-agency Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking Task Force on Friday, August 15,
Narcotics trafficking can bring violence, addiction, and other serious risks to the public. Through coordinated investigations and enforcement, YCSO and PANT have removed offenders from the streets and led to prison sentences.
In August Tiffany Clifton was sentenced to 5 years in prison
On November 21, 2024 – Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop off Middle Verde Road in Camp Verde. During the stop, K9 Officer Tex was deployed and alerted to the vehicle. Upon searching, approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine was inside. The passenger, Tiffany Clifton from Colorado, was arrested.
In July, James Wriston was sentenced to 10 years in prison
On March 20 – A Camp Verde Marshal’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop on a known convicted felon, James Wriston. After initially yielding to the stop, Wriston drove off, crashing his car approximately a half mile from the initial traffic stop. Wriston fled on foot, making it a couple of hundred yards before being apprehended. When PANT detectives searched the car, 28 grams of methamphetamine, 14 fentanyl pills, a gun, a large dagger knife, and a samurai sword were located.
In June. Ellamay Kline was sentenced to 5 years in prison
In May – Following a lengthy investigation, PANT Detectives arrested Ellamay Kline for selling meth and fentanyl over several years across the Verde Valley.
