The roundabout at the intersection of Main Street and 10th Street is now fully operational and the city of Cottonwood has lifted the road closures related to the round-about work. During the closures, the Cottonwood Area Transit system did not operate from four bus stops along Main Street between 3rd Street and12th Street. A temporary stop was placed on 12th Street north of Graham Street.
Construction work will continue on the roundabout, which city staff expect to be complete by the end of April, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday to install lighting, pavement striping and land-scape installation. Flagging operations will be in place during work hours. The Cottonwood City Council awarded the contract for the round-about project to Combs Construction on Dec. 17 and construction began on Jan. 20
