David A. Haskell, 80, formerly of Cottonwood, died Oct. 14.
He worked his way through college as a textbook illustrator and was employed by the National Park Service, and later became an instructor and board member at the Sedona Arts Center.
He was instrumental in creating the Sedona Plein Air Festival.
He was predeceased by his parents, Hilda and Hermon; brother, Brian; and sister, Margaret. He is survived by his wife, Janice.
Private services will be held at a later date.
