Verde Valley Archaeology Center hosts Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on Oct. 12

The Verde Valley Archaeology Center will hold an Indigenous Peoples Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. Join us at the museum for a fun day celebrating the heritage, culture, and continued contributions of American Indians.

The festivities include an artist’s market featuring over 25 artists specializing in fine art, weaving, pottery, jewelry, katsinas, silversmithing, apparel and crafts. Homemade fry bread will be available for purchase.

At noon, enjoy an engaging talk presented by Barbara McCabe, an Apache Culture Specialist at the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

Seating is inside the museum and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

VVAC is located at 460 W. Finnie Flat Road in Camp Verde.
