On Aug. 14, Cottonwood Police arrested 50-year-old Damian Andre, a Camp Verde resident and teacher at Verde Tech High School in Cottonwood, on charges of supplying marijuana and tobacco to a minor. The arrest followed an investigation into allegations that Andre allegedly provided marijuana vaping fluid to one of his 15-year-old students.
Andre allegedly had the marijuana vaping fluid delivered directly to the school, where he then gave it to the student. The investigation began when the student’s parent reported the teacher’s inappropriate actions to authorities.
CPD would stated the department thanks the parent who came forward, as well as the Verde Tech High School administrators for their full cooperation and support during this investigation.
