Current or past profession: “Currently I am retired. My past professions have all been centered in various business sectors as an owner, developer, entrepreneur, chief engineer and project manager of large scale industries.”
Q: Why are you qualified to serve on council?
A: “I bring management skills, was appointed to Northern Arizona Council of Government, the Board of Adjustments for Page, Arizona, the Las Vegas Hotel and Resort Association, building inspector for the town of Panguitch, Utah, licensed general and mechanical contractor, realtor, negotiator of labor contracts, assisted in revising the industry standards for the city of Las Vegas, instrumental in the development for the University of Las Vegas Hospitality Industry Studies program, purchasing agent and proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps.”
Q: How would you advise the completion of the Camp Verde Sports Complex?
A: “With my experience in construction, development and people skills, I offer clarity and coordination of all tasks and programs, bringing a cohesive approach to the goal.”
Q: How do you plan to balance growth while maintaining Camp Verde’s rural and Western lifestyle?
A: “My goal is to balance all sides with an open mind, listening to the desires of the community and the feasibility with attention to our budget.”
Q: What is your vision for economic development in Camp Verde, especially along the State Route 260 corridor?
A: “Progress is inevitable, but must be done with clarity and careful consideration of our goal of respecting our history and maintaining our Western lifestyle and agriculture community for future generations.
“Development along the 260 corridor is a sound plan for the economic development of our community, supplying a healthy tax base and employment opportunities while protecting our residents’ personal lifestyles.”
Q: What kind of general direction would you give to the incoming Town Manager?
A: “The town manager directive would be to balance our budget, respect our history, plan for the future while leaving a meaningful legacy of a responsible and sustainable community.”
