Published:

Cottonwood, Cornville and the Verde Villages will be hosting community Easter events for family-friendly fun this weekend.

Cottonwood Parks and Recreation will be hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at Riverfront Park, located at 1284 E. River Front Road. The event is for children up to 8 years old and will include an egg hunt, candy, prizes and an opportunity for kids to meet the Easter Bunny.

“The Annual Easter Eggstravaganza is the biggest and most popular egg hunt event in Cottonwood,” the city’s Parks and Recreation website stated. “This free event is a community favorite and we look forward to having a safe, family-friendly and hoppin’ good time with you all.”

The Verde Village Community Connection will be hosting its Eggstravaganza Easter Egg hunt at the Del Rio Pond, located at 3901 E. Del Rio Drive, on Sunday, March 31, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. An Easter Bunny will be present for photo opportunities. Participants can meet their local firefighters, who will help direct children to their age group’s section for hunting eggs; the area around the pond will be divided into sections for different age groups. There will be 500 eggs and one golden egg containing a special surprise.

There will also be Easter crafts at the Community Hall, located at 4855 E. Broken Saddle Drive. Families can make Easter baskets or color Easter-themed printouts.
