Isabel Carolina “Chacha” Gallego Mathieson, 83, died Dec. 17.
Born in Jerome, she was a third-generation Arizonan. After a successful career in city and county government, she raised her family and expressed her creative side in the medium of glass art. She was a member of the Jerome Arts Cooperative.
She is survived by her children, Jeanette and Russ [Mark]; and grandchildren Isabella and Rowan.
To honor her memory, the family is planning a celebration of her life in early spring 2024 with date and location to be announced.
