Chipotle OK’d in former bank

Published:

The Cottonwood Planning and Zoning Commission approved a design review and conditional use permit on Nov. 20 for a new Chipotle franchise, to be located at 611 S. Main St.

The existing building at the 0.97-acre site, which is zoned light commercial, will be renovated as a fast-food restaurant. The Chipotle franchise will be housed in one of the building’s two suites, with the remainder available for a future tenant. The existing Bank of America kiosk will remain at its present location. The conditional use permit was required to add a drive-through to the structure.

Commissioner Shannon Klinge said that the building has been vacant for a long time and she was glad they can put it to good use.

Both the design review and conditional use permit were approved unanimously.
