Alice Cecilia Black, 85, of Cottonwood, died Feb. 23.
After working for American Airlines, she was a teacher’s aide for disabled children. Active in her community, she volunteered at the Cottonwood Public Library. She loved nature, travel, camping, gardening, volunteering and swimming.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Black; daughter, Jeannie Black; son, Jerry [Natalie] Black; and sister, Anna Shetzer.
Donations are suggested to the Arizona Desert Botantical Gardens or planting a tree in her honor.
