Jack Clark Carter, of Cottonwood, died Jan. 11.
He was preceded in death by his second wife Mary Carter and his first wife Carol Carter.
He is survived by his companion Valerie Behnke; children Jeff Carter, Jenny [Carter] McCrory, Mike Carter, and Chris Carter; stepchildren Laura Woods, Dan Fowler, and Patty Kuehn; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and half-sister Captolia Carter.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
