John J. Linckens, 65, of Cottonwood, died Oct. 28.
Born in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, his family emigrated to southern California. He became an avid fisherman, both salt and fresh water. After retiring in 2015, he moved to Cottonwood where he enjoyed his solitude, fishing local lakes and streams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Linckens and Hildegonda Linckens [nee Groenewagen].
He is survived by his sister, Maria Drysol of Gresham, Ore.; brother A. James Linckens of Longmont, Colo.; three nieces and two nephews.
