Janice Roser, of Cottonwood, died Aug. 15.
Born in Chicago, Ill., she earned her cosmetology license in 1975. That license enabled her to havea 47-year career in the beauty industry, spanning from Chicago to California to Cottonwood, where she lived for over 30 years. She joined the Catholic faith, loved going to church and volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice and Nicole, and grandchildren Dominick and Natalie.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
