Warren K. ‘Skip’ Heyer Jr.

Warren K. “Skip” Heyer Jr., of Cornville, died May 25.
A graduate of the University of Montana, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany, Korea and Vietnam, receiving the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster. He worked with the Verde Valley Fire District for 23 years.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; daughter Melissa [Rick] Ryckman; four granddaughters; mother, Esther Heyer; brother Doug [Nancy] Heyer; and others.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25 at 1 p.m. at American Legion Post 25 in Cottonwood. Donate to Verde Valley Fire Charities Emergency Relief Fund.
