James Michael Guerrieri, 64, of Rimrock, died April 16.

He served as a chaplain for the Southern California’s county jails and prisons. Upon moving to Rimrock in 2007, he continued in the chaplaincy with the Yavapai County Detention Center in Camp Verde until 2016. He was one of the pastors at the Body of Christ, Verde Valley Church in Cottonwood.

He is survived by his sisters, Katie Blackwood, Karen Spooner, Kris Budvarson and Kathy Gossein; brother, John Guerrieri; daughter, Amber Guerrieri; grandson Keith Guerrieri; and wife Chris Guerrieri,
