Lorraine Skrocky VanDenburgh, of Sedona, died Feb. 27.

Born in Troy, N.Y., she was active in volunteer work, holding a leadership position with Recovery International for 16 years. She loved to sing, and joined five choirs at one church. She loved animals, plants and flowers, and cooking. She was an extraordinary minister, serving communion for St. John Vianney church to the home bound, and doing communion services at a nursing home in Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the House of Ruth or Verde Valley Sanctuary in Cottonwood.
