Ronald William Embly, 87, of Camp Verde, died Jan. 25.

A Korean War veteran with over 60 years of membership in and service to the American Legion, he was past department [state] vice commander of the American Legion Department of Arizona and past commander of American Legion Post 93 in Camp Verde.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Morgan Embly; brother, David; six children; eight grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held later at American Legion Post 93.
