Jack Lee Tinnell, of Cottonwood, died Jan. 16.

He served in the Vietnam War. He was an EMT and police officer, retiring as chief of police of Reinbeck, Iowa.

He enjoyed blacksmithing and leather crafting. He was a Jeep guide, cowboy actor and author.

He is survived by his wife Lois; daughter Stephanie [Jon] Greener; sons Ryan and Josh; stepson Ward Norem; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.
