Albert J. “Beto” Ruiz

Albert J. “Beto” Ruiz, 72, died Dec. 4.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Vietnam. He returned to Kearny and worked for the copper mine. Later, he and his wife opened Beto’s Corner, a Camp Verde restaurant.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife Wanda; sons Albert [Kelly] Ruiz and Ruben [Chrissy] Ruiz; daughters Pauline [Chad] Denning, Jennifer [Jamie] Ferguson, Melanie [Fernando] Chavez and Lori Ruiz; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers and a sister.
