The Arizona Department of Transportation released a statement on Oct. 16 stating that there will be daytime road closures on north- and southbound State Route 89A in Jerome.
Construction started Tuesday Oct. 19, and will continue through Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Motorists should expect a delay of up to 15 minutes. No weekend work is scheduled at this time, but schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseeable factors.
State Route 89A will be narrowed to one lane with alternating north- and southbound travel between Douglas road at milepost 345 and Dundee lane at milepost 346. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone, which has an 11-foot vehicle width restriction.
The road closures are needed for contractors to perform overhead utility work.
