Carl Mayo Colson, 74, of Cottonwood, died April 22.

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a journalism degree, he served in the US Navy, he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was general manager at the Cameron Trading Post.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Colson; son John Colson [Chuck Turney]; daughter Carla A Trevathan [Alex Parra]; sister Blair [Billy] Hancock; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services have been held; a celebration of life will be held in June.
