H. Ross Hawkins, 81, of Sedona, died July 9.

He was the founder and executive director of the International Hummingbird Society headquartered in Sedona, and the Sedona Hummingbird Festival.

After working as a Ph.D research chemist for DuPont, he became vice president in investments for Morgan Stanley.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Kingsley Hawkins, and daughters Sandra [Michael] West and Anita Hawkins [Rev. Craig Cowing].

Due to the pandemic, no memorial service will be held at this time. Donations are suggested to the International Hummingbird Society at hummingbirfsociety.org.
