Charles Ray Bigelow, M.D., 82, of Cornville, died Aug. 4.

He received his M.D. from Tulane University and served eight years in the U.S. Army. He moved to Flagstaff in 1972, established his medical practice and eventually opened a second office in Sedona.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; children Cynthia Haynes, Paige Campbell and Jason Bigelow; sister Emily Pritchard, four grandchildren and two cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff. Private burial will follow at a later date in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial donations are suggested to Tulane School of Medicine.
