Verde Valley Fire District responded to a single car rollover accident on Bill Grey Road on Friday, Sept. 14 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
There were four occupants, two adults and two children. The vehicle hit a soft spot on the side of the road and the driver over-corrected causing a slide and the eventual rollover off of the road.
All of the people inside of the vehicle were able to self-extricate. One child was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center by ground while the other members were unhurt and signed patient refusals.
Assisting VVFD were the Cottonwood Fire & Medical Department, Verde Valley Ambulance Company and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
Please take care on gravel roads. Slow down, beware of soft shoulders, and realize that gravel allows for much more skidding than paved roads.
