William “Bill” Gibbons, 71, of Cottonwood, died Aug. 1.

A dog trainer, he has a plaque in the Bird Dog Hall of Fame, was inducted into the Region 12 Hall of Fame, and won championships in five different breeds.

He is survived by his wife Tamra; sons William [Faith] Gibbons and Daniel [Tanya] Gibbons; two grandchildren; brothers Thomas [Ricki] Gibbons and John [Mary] Gibbons; sister Patricia [Chuck] Bice; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Cottonwood.
