Its people, its location and its history.

Q: What is your greatest accomplishment in your time on Town Council?

I am one of seven policymakers on council who voted in favor of the following: Bringing better access to health care through the new medical clinic in Camp Verde; the construction and location of the community library; and strengthening relationships with other elected officials including Yavapai-Apache Nation.

Q: What will you do to keep Camp Verde affordable for its residents?

I will work to make sure that we are spending to execute as much as possible the requirements placed upon us through the practical application of the General Plan, The Verde River Master Recreation Plan and the Focused Future II plan approved by the electorate. The town cannot control the price of property, rents or costs of construction, but it is important for us to be mindful of our expenses in relation to our revenues. As revenues drop, we automatically reduce our expenditures.

Q: How do you hope to bring business to Camp Verde?

By utilizing information provided by our professional consulting firm, Retail Strategies; utilizing our Economic Development Department director’s office; providing user-friendly service to potential and existing investors in Camp Verde; and providing technical business expertise to clients on how to manage and run their businesses. This technical business expertise is done through working services provided by Yavapai College to provide necessary business assistance and mentoring.
