Dena A. Greenwood-Miller, 62, of Rimrock, died June 11 in Sedona.

An educator, conservationist and former manager of Jay’s Bird Barn, she was known throughout the Verde Valley as the premier birding guide and natural history instructor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

She is survived by her husband Randall; son William Phillips; daughters Lauren [Mathew] Casey and Aubrey [Michael] Skaggs; brother Dan [Terresa] Clint; sister Dawn [Don] Smith; and 10 grandchildren.
