Where are you from?
Originally from Globe, Ariz. Moved to Alaska, now I’m back in Cottonwood.
When did you move to Cottonwood?
Four years ago.
What sports do you play?
I do cross-country, basketball and track.
Which is your favorite?
Track.
Why?
I don’t know, I just like the adrenaline of it. It’s kind of hard to explain, but it’s great.
When did you start doing track?
Since about sixth grade.
What are your favorite sports team and athlete?
Sports team would be the Washington Redskins. Athlete … I’ll go with Jordan Reed.
What’s your favorite pump up music?
Anything really. I don’t really have a favorite.
Favorite class in school?
AP U.S. History.
Do you have any pregame or prerace routines or superstitions?
Stretching. I always get nervous, and then afterwards I’m always happy that I’m done.
Describe your coach in one word.
Enthusiastic.
Describe yourself in one word.
Competitive.
What makes a good teammate?
[Being] helpful, encouraging.
What are the benefits of doing high school sports?
It keeps your grades up, keeps you looking for other things, keeps you out of bad areas in life.
What is your most memorable sports moment so far?
Last year I got my PR in the 800.
What are your future goals?
My goal is to go to Northern Arizona University for college, but not too sure about after that.
