Mariano L. Marquez, formerly of Cottonwood and Camp Verde, died Feb. 24 in Washington.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his brother Fred [Mary Lou] Marquez of Waddell; half-brothers Ysidr and Pancho Valles and sister Rosie Valles, all of California; daughters Rita Linden of Germany, Kathry Mayhugh of Washington and Jeanette Clayton of California; son Timothy [Linda] Marquez of Utah; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial will be held.
