Mingus Union High School swimmers gained qualification to the Arizona Interscholastic Association Division III swimming and diving state meet.
Division III takes the 24 fastest individuals and 16 fastest relay teams from each event.
Boys

Volleyball
The Marauders hosted their senior night on Thursday, Oct. 26, when they took on Lee Williams High School.
They were tied with the Volunteers in the region standings, and the 3-1 loss dropped the Marauders to the bottom rung in the league. On Oct. 3, at Lee Williams, they fell by the same score.
Five seniors were honored: Madi Backus, Julian Smyda, Katelyn Prouty, Nikki Zielinski and Lindsey Meyers.
Cross Country
The team raced at the Arizona Interscholastic Association Division III Section IV meet at Hidden Cove Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 27.
Senior Hannah DeVore took 14th overall in 21:11.21, qualifying her as an individual for the state meet, to be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at Cave Creek Golf Course. Senior Tiffany Drake finished in 34:28.26.
The boys’ top finisher was freshman Jehiah Rogers [18:44.09]. Then it was ninth grader Riley Bliss [19:59.51] and junior Cody Wager followed just under 10 seconds later at 20:08.15. Sophomore Luke Doerksen [20:55.12] and 10th-grader John Valentine [21:46.77] rounded it out.
