Where are you from?
I was born in Wichita, Kan. I moved here I believe when I was 5.
What sports do you do?
Swimming, I used to do martial arts and colt breaking.
Which is your favorite? Why?
Swimming because it’s more internal motivation, you’re here as a team and trying to do better as a team and an individual.
What’s the worst part?
The yards.
Do you have favorite sports teams or athletes?
Michael Phelps.
What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not swimming?
I do a lot of community involvement.
Favorite food?
Sweet and sour chicken.
What do you aspire to be when you’re older?
I want to go into political science.
What kinds of valuable lessons has swimming taught you?
Teamwork, patience and persistence.
Do you have any prerace or premeet routines?
I like to visualize my races.
Who’s been the most influential person in your life?
I guess you could say my mom.
Do you have a memorable meet or race you’ve had in your career?
Definitely state last year. My 100 freestyle was towards the night, the lights were on, music was playing, we walked down and everyone’s name was being announced, everyone was focused. We all PR’d and it was just a really good event and I took fourth.
