Clarita Widener, 84, of Cottonwood, died Sept. 25.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As a young girl, she kept a detailed 4H notebook and worked hard on the Tennessee farm when her father died. A talented artist and seamstress, she had an eye for detail and a creative streak.

She is survived by her husband Robert Sr.; son Robert Widener Jr.; daughters Roberta Walsh, Aleta Buck and Ella Mullens; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Jo Page has worked at Larson newspapers as typesetter since 2010. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked in corporate communications in insurance and health care for several years, handling marketing and public relations duties. A fur-mom to two cats and three dogs, she is semi-retired.
