Camp Verde High School’s cross country team hosted its seventh Camp Verde Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Six schools participated, with three boys and two girls competing for the Cowboys.
“For the boys I was pleased with Sy [Hanson] and Dominic [Pittman]; they ran well,” head coach Mike O’Callaghan said. “I feel they have a good shot of qualifying for the state meet. It will be tough but it can be done.”
O’Callaghan said the meet had fewer participants than years past because it coincided with the popular Desert Twilight meet in Casa Grande.
